IB History - The Road to Pearl Harbour

A complete lesson in PowerPoint format that was originally used with a mixed IB HL/SL class doing The Move To Global War as its Paper 1 Prescribed Subject. The lesson begins with students watching a video clip, followed by a discussion of why the Japanese chose to attack the USA at Pearl Harbour. Students are then required to conduct research in groups using print resources listed on the slides as well as a fact sheet on Pearl Harbour that is hyperlinked. The lesson then concludes with a class discussion asking students to evaluate the extent to which Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor was successful.
