The task is intended as a scaffolded peer-to-peer formative assessment in which students begin to practice for the Individual Oral in English Language and Literature.
Each student uses the six steps in the task sheet to present a five-minute oral to one or more partners.
Depending on the texts you have chosen with your students, some minor editing of this document will be required (highlighted in green on pages 3-4 of this document).
In Step 5 two frameworks/templates have been provided for students to choose from on pages 4 and 5; yellow highlights indicate where students need to enter their own information.
The modified rubric for this task can be found on the final page of this document; it contains the grade boundaries as agreed upon at my school so you might want to alter these to suit your own grading system.
