Articulate board game- the aim of the game is for students to take it in turns to describe the key word(s) on the card without actually saying the word that they are describing. Over 50 individual cards included, with 300 key terms taken from the unit specification, text book and / or mark schemes.

If this is the answer, what is the question game. Students take in turns to select an answer square and devise a suitable question. It is important to encourage students to devise a exam board specific question including an appropriate command word, subject content and marks awarded for each answer. Over 100 answer questions!

Connect 4 board game - Students take in turns to answer any question square on the board: if they get it correct they claim that square – if they get it incorrect the other player can attempt to answer it and steal the square! The aim of the game is for students to get 4 connecting squares in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal row. 5 different games ready to go one for each learning aim / body system. That is over 150 question squares!

Scrabble - Players takes it in turns to apply a GCSE PE / A-LEVEL / BTEC key words to the board (minimum of 3 letter words!) After each turn, the tile (letter) values are added up and recorded on the score sheet. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner. STRETCH AND CHALLENGE VARIATIONS OF SCRABBLE GAME:
• Double points for the word if a text book definition is provided.
• Triple points for linking together key terminology from the same topic / chapter e.g. arteries and veins, defining it and supporting with a specific example!
