I print off the structures of the first 5 hydrocarbons and put them in envelopes.
I have piles of the questions at the front of the room in order (the first being the envelope of hydrocarbons). Pupils must complete the answer sheet by answering the questions/following the hints in a relay style fashion (pairs/ groups). I usually check pupils’ answers before they are allowed to take the next one. This is very much a sit at the front and do very little activity.
