The following resources serve as an introduction to comprehension. They contain various types of texts from real authors and books. The tasks and activities get progressively harder for each unit, demanding key skills such as recalling, applying and inferring. These resources are aimed at year 2 though I have adapted and used them in year 1-4, taking into consideration ESL and certain SEN pupils.
