This worksheet is designed to be completely self-contained. This in itself should allow students to discover ionic bonding themselves throughout the lesson. This allows the teacher to move around the classroom and assess students and advise on the go without lecturing to the class in such a boring way. Students can use their text books and periodic tables to help them with the tasks. Tasks are levelled in accordance with SOLO. There is an evaluation section at the end of the booklet so students can reflect on their learning.

We are trying SOLO lessons within our department with KS3. Going to try to make this into a PPT for Y9 and see how it goes! Thank you for the worksheet - but we are skint so going to need to save on printing costs! :)
