A lesson using CLIL (content language integrated learning) to teach about the Olympics in French. I used this to build upon a previous lesson (conducted in English) where we had learnt about the history of the Olympics as part of our Greeks topic. That had dealt with the first olympics in 776BC until they stopped around 1,000 years later. This lesson deals with how a Frenchman resurrected the Olympics in 1896. It briefly recaps the history in English then continues in French. We finish with a prediction game to practice sporting vocab. A bit complicated but I hope it makes sense!
