Jim Dine inspired art

A Jim Dine inspired lesson, looking at creating a patterned love heart using the sgraffito technique. The work is planned to last for four lessons, looking at Dine’s artwork, style and the sgraffito technique. I have planned this with for KS3 (year 8), with the intention of developing skills and presentation skills.
The lessons include do now tasks, starters, main task with graded examples, homework tasks, extension task and plenaries.
Homework tasks are an extension of classwork and are intended to help students develop a further understanding of the Jim Dine’s work and his artistic style.
