This is an up to date lesson based on Creatio Ex Nihilo and Divine Fiat, Bara and Asah. I marked for OCR last summer and they stressed the importance of this content for Creatio Ex Nihilo. There is hardly any content about this in books and on the internet so thought I would share :) One of the most important outcomes is that students can explain t hat Ex Nihilo is not stressed in the Bible- it is assumed from this.

Excellent information - this is really helpful. One question - how do students tell which is bara and which is asah is the Genesis 1 translation? Are they translated as different terms, or are both given as 'made'? Thanks!
