Know the Code: The Prefix/Suffix Five Pack (1)

This is a 80 page PDF Bundle of five prefixes/suffixes. This is a multisensory resource that focuses on prefix and suffix meanings, word lists, word phrases, sentences; word searches (optional) and includes a partner/small group activity that reinforces presented skills. A bonus is included 10 pages of word lists including one of each prefix and suffix presented; doubling rule; E rule; compound words; and multisyllabic words.

Student activities are designed to support internalization of concepts presented, using a multisensory, direct, explicit, repetitive and cumulative approach. The format of this PDF document is consistent to support student learning. Can be used in a literacy center.

Game activity is designed to support internalization of the prefixes and suffixes presented. Game includes directions, and encourages students to decode and encode by creating words that are multisyllabic; and students are encouraged to identify and create words that include the E rule and the Doubling Rule.

This bundle is designed for teacher directed lessons, or for students that are working toward independent review of skills. Teachers working with gifted and talented students will find this bundle supportive of their students as homework or follow up work to develop vocabulary.
