KS2 poetry - write a poem retelling a fairytale

This free KS2 poetry resource explores retelling fairytales from a different point of view, using the poem ‘As Told by the Giant’ by Stefan Karlsson as inspiration. Stefan’s poem retells the story of Jack and the Beanstalk from the Giant’s perspective.

There are clear, easy-to-follow prompts for class activities, a class poem, and individual writing. There is a printable poster of the poem and a stylish blank template for pupils to write up and display their new work. The file type is PDF.
