KS3 Non Fiction SoW

This SoW was created as a Year 7 scheme aimed at low-mid ability students. Each PP has learning objectives and outcomes (these will need adapting to your school's expectations). It is a scheme based around the theme of nature/animals and features a variety of non fiction genres. This worked well as a scheme aimed at developing knowledge of non fiction and of writing skills. Some lessons, depending on your class, you may wish to spend longer on the main tasks. This scheme is also equipped with weekly homework tasks. Elements of differentiation are subtly incorporated into each PowerPoint (purple, orange and green tasks- purple: low, orange: mid, green: high) and on some hand-outs/worksheets/homework.
