KS3 Spanish Holidays Where I go

Lesson Covers: Quick preliminary activities to remind students about Spanish for THE and A, as well as how adjectives work. They learn Spanish for countries, how to say TO, learn how to conjugate IR, translations to help them practice IR, speaking activities based on where they normally go on holidays, homework which gives list of vocab and verbs to learn, pyramid review.

Lesson includes: Differentiated objectives, starter activity based on THE and A in Spanish.
Activity 1: Translations to review adjectives. Key words provided.
Activity 2: Team work to find Spanish for countries. Challenges included. Activity 3: Learning IR in teams (through song, actions etc.) Link to Youtube video included to give students ideas for learning IR through song / actions.
Activity 4: Differentiated translation relay using IR and key phrases linked to holidays.
Activity 5: Speaking activity, with emphasis on use of spontaneous speaking. Grumpy cat and puss in boots involved.
Homework: This is provided on slide - vocab and verbs to be learnt.
