KS4 AQA Anthology Home Learning Pack - Conflict and Power - 22 Tasks

If your school is anything like mine, your parents want homework to be set but you don’t have time to create a ton of relevant homeworks or mark all this extra work. This homework pack is designed to be challenging, useful and something that you/students can mark in one minute easily. It’s a beast of a pack because there are 22 homeworks in this pack (it’s designed to give students roughly five homeworks a week). However, each homework will take them only 10-15 minutes, so students stopped complaining about it after about two days (when they realised that they could easily get it done as they ate breakfast). It should definitely satisfy any SLT, parent or concerned student contingent in your school (and genuinely help students to build up their revision skills)!

It’s designed to hit three essential parts of the GCSE Literature exam:
1. They need to know about the contexts of different poets, so all poets are covered in this pack with easily digestible biographies that they have to summarise.
2. They need to memorise quotations, so most homework tasks either address one or - max - two key quotations from each poem, to aid in memorisation.
3. They need practise analysing quotations, so each homework task requires students to analyse the overall message that is revealed by a specific technique.
