This is the second lesson in a scheme of work suitable for year 7 focusing on the Norman Conquest. This lesson is an overview of the Vikings and their impact on Britain and is intended as the second of three lessons setting the context to the history of Britain in the centuries before 1066.
The lesson resource includes a do now quiz at the start and a review of the final activity from the previous lesson, a presentation on the Vikings for the teacher to present, interspersed with Youtube videos (linked). There is a scaffolded writing activity for pupils to complete at the end to show off their learning.
The resource is on sand background and is clearly laid out to reduce cognitive overload.
