This is an introduction to Personal Safety for teenagers and adults with special educational needs. It is a full course and includes student worksheets and teaching slides.

The resource is intended to introduce students to personal safety, including:
Safety at home
Safety at work
Safety when you are out

Topics include:
Medical health
Home cleanliness
Fire safety at home
Bullying at work
Public transport
Pedestrian safety
Sport safety
Water safety

These worksheets are designed to cover the following learning outcomes:
Identify essential rights and responsibilities in relation to personal safety in a specific location eg. workplace / home / community
List key safety risks in the workplace / home / community
Recognise when his / her safety is threatened eg. bullying / harassment / using equipment / common chemicals
Name daily practises that promote personal safety eg. using pedestrian crossings / disconnecting electrical goods at night / pouring hot liquids after cold, wearing protective clothing, seeking advice/help, preventing stranger danger
Name the appropriate response when a risk is identified eg. finding a sage exit, contact person.organisation, fire drill
