Living on An Island - information text

2 resources to help with the topic ‘Living on an Island’.

The first I used to link to Geography and English writing task. The pupils, prior to this, undertook their own research into what an island is and how the different types of islands around the world were formed. The resource was used as a model text to look at features of an information text, edit and improve.

The second resource is to be used for the pupils to select a Greek island to find out more about. The end task will be for them to design their own island and write an informative, persuasive leaflet to encourage visitors.
