A BUNDLE for Key Stage 2 Year 4, Year 5, Year 6 warm ups, mental starters or early finishers challenges in maths lessons, containing 16 puzzle worksheets at 2 levels. They are fun, flexible resources that can also be used as revision lesson tasks, homework, SATs preparation etc. Concepts include: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, Times Tables, Doubling and Halving, Multiplying and Dividing by 10 and 100, Fractions, Percentages and Decimals. • Consider laminating for repeated use (with whiteboard pens) to cut down on printing
• Use for individuals, pairs or small groups
• Promote important discussions about different mental strategies
• As in a crossword puzzle, children will find it easier to work out some of the more challenging calculations once they’ve filled in some of the easier ones as digits will already be there for them
• Answer grids for all 16 puzzles are included and could be printed for students to self-check (or displayed later on the board) and cut down on your marking!
