Microorganisms revision poster

Revision poster on microorganisms (suitable for GCSE, iGCSE or Junior Cycle Science)

This poster/chart covers key scientific concepts on:

• identifying the seven life processes
• defining keywords such as microorganisms and pathogens
• differences between bacteria, fungi and viruses
• bacterial, fungal and viral reproduction
• examples of bacterial, viral and fungal infections and how they are treated
• benefits of bacteria and viruses
• vaccinations
• food preservation techniques

My students stick this revision poster/chart into their copy book at the start or end of the chapter content delivery. I use these revision posters to show students the importance of chunk revising. They spend time recalling/memorising the key-points; some students will create their own revision resource to suit their learning style by using this content eg. a mind-map, flash cards and some create their own audio recordings to help.

The template can be edited by you to change content or to add some challenge (e.g. sometimes before I photocopy this poster I will delete some of the keywords and get students to identify the missing keywords.)
