Misinformation and the US Presidential Election - Assembly

This assembly lasts 10 to 15 mins. It is fully scripted.
It covers issues surrounding misinformation, disinformation and the role of social media. We look at misinformation in a historical setting and then focus on the US Presidential Election. We look at examples of misinformation/disinformation and ask questions about whether they are real or not. Advice is given about how to identify misinformation/disinformation and how to become a responsible digital citizen. A case study is provided to help discuss the potential impact of believing misinformation.
