Movement Analysis - GCSE PE (AQA)

A complete resource for the teaching of movement analysis. Covers all of the content required for GCSE PE - AQA specification (lever systems, basic movements and planes and axes of movement).

Includes 6 lessons;

Lesson 1 - Explore the use of different lever systems used during physical activity and sport
Lesson 2 - Explain mechanical advantage in relation to the three lever systems
Lesson 3 - Link the different types of movements at joints to sports examples
Lesson 4 - Analysis of basic movements in sport examples (includes - push up, throw in, kicking, running, vertical jump, squat and cricket bowling)
Lesson 5 - Identify the relevant planes and axes of movement used whilst performing sporting actions
Lesson 6 - End of Topic Test

Each lesson has 3 retrieval activities to complete at the start of the lesson, includes a pupil worksheet and an accompanying powerpoint which can be used to teach alongside the worksheet. I have included a teacher copy of the worksheet with model answers to make marking easy and non time consuming.

I have also included a pupil workbook - this includes all of the retrieval starter activities and lesson worksheets as well as the end of topic test and a topic checklist.

This could easily be used as a revision booklet in preparation for exams or used for cover work for a supply teacher or non specialist.
