You are buying two resources both are designed to be printed and stuck in the front/back of students books. They should a source of constant reference and useful when covering exam questions as well as literacy and numeracy tasks. They were created to allow student to meet the new literacy and numeracy needs of the new AQA Geography GCSE but could be used at all key stages.
The first allows student to input grades for their internal assessment . We assess every unit so this has been done for our assessments but would be easy to change if you have a different assessment structure. It then sets out the expectations of students at GCSE and also has suggested activities if the finish and to improve their grade in Geography. Below this is the list of command words as provided by AQA for their reference. We have also included a world map so they can plot case studies and examples. It is a little small to do anything else on.
The second is a combined literacy and numeracy hand out also aimed at the new GCSE and its increased focus on longer answer question and numeracy within the fieldwork elements. It has a range of key phrases which can be used to extend and stretch written work. In addition there are a few commonly mis-spelt words. The numeracy element covers how to calculate averages, percentages etc. as well as having a list of common units in Geography for them to refer too.
Please comment and review and let me know what you think.
