Do you want to improve reading performance in your school? Use these assessment/records to help focus on the new content domains in reading as well as the reading objectives for your year. SATS have changed and if you are still using old AFs you will not be preparing children fully for the new style test.

Teachers could collect cross-curricular evidence as well as reading evidence from their Literacy lessons, selecting relevant Content Domains and Performance Indicators on each record.
There is space for comments to be added that allows teachers to record evidence of reading skills e.g. discussion about vocabulary or oral work.
In addition, the teacher can record a judgement in the form of 1, 2 or 3.
1=some understanding and support needed.
2=growing independence and understanding.
3=worked independently and confidently.

This record will provide excellent evidence to inform any tracking system and for moderation purposes.
