This is a Power Point I have designed to show my students how to pronounce the sound-spelling correspondence ‘silent final consonant’ in French at KS4 and KS3 level. As you may know, it is very important that we adapt our KS3 resources to include phonics and the new exercises linked to them from the new GCSE 2026.

- a scaffolded dictation using the SSC SFC.
- a trap door read-aloud including the SSC SFC on the topic of 'pets
- an audio file for each activity.
