This lesson looks at the relationship between Voltage, current and resistance.
Modelling is used to structure the idea of moving charges and energy and two equations are introduced.
This lesson focusses on students ability to use two required equations to calculate power.
Both equations are explained, standard units are highlighted and derivation of one of the equations is discussed.
Every question should be approached from a 3 mark perspective (1 for substitution into the equation, 1 for the correct answer and 1 for the correct units).
Students should be walked through the practice questions and then given time to carry out some individual questions using an approved AQA worksheet.
This should be followed up by an AQA approved worksheet on the relevant calculations.
