Secondary School - Food and Healthy Lifestyle Unit - Lesson 11
This resource is the eleventh lesson of the unit “la nourriture et la santé”.
In this lesson, students are learning how to book a table at a restaurant, practicing with a role play, in pairs. A listening activity is also included, about teenagers deciding to which restaurant they want to go to. This lesson also has a cultural element to it as it looks at 3 renowned French chefs : Bocuse, Robuchon and Gagnaire, and their restaurants. Students need to decide to which restaurant they would prefer to go to by looking at their (expensive yet incredible) menus.
This resource contains :
- 1 Powerpoint of 9 slides
- 2 Word worksheets to work on in class
- 1 homework worksheet, which could be used as an extra class activity as well, with 3 different options for students to chose from (1 - to create their own menu, 2- to create a conversation between one of Bocuse’s waiters and a couple, 3 - to do some research about the famous Guide Michelin and what it means for restaurants to gain “stars”).
