Number Game - Roll dice to make numbers

Pupils can use this paired activity to go through 1 digit numbers up to 5 digit numbers. I have used this activity during my first few lessons with my bottom set Y7s to see what level they were at in terms of reading and writing whole numbers, identifying place value and ordering whole numbers. Pupils need to roll the dice to create the respective numbers (or use digit cards), write them in words, compare with their partner's number and score. It was great for differentiation, but I didn&'t let my pupils move up to the next &';game' until they wrote the whole numbers correctly. Enjoy!
