This is a really engaging three-page script to encourage students to think about the post World War One peace negotiations and the Treaty of Versailles. There are 8 roles so a class could be broken up into groups to do the role play.

The Treaty of Versailles was arguably one of the most impactful treaties of the 20th Century so it is crucial that students understand it. The aim of this resource is to elicit empathy for the historical figures at the heart of this Treaty while also teaching about the magnitude of their actions.

NB. While the characters in this script are real, the words that they say are fictional. They are based on what is known about the conference and the leader’s opinions.

The resource also includes 10 follow-up questions for students to reflect on.

All my resources are in Verdana Pro font which is helpful for students who have dyslexia.
