DIY phonic fans.
The first 4 pages contains the initial 23 sounds students learn.
The following 26 sounds are the more complex 26 consonant digraphs and graphemes.
A split pin is used to make the fans (6-8 in a group) at the bottom of the ice cream cone.
The fans can be used to ask students to identify sounds as they hear them from an audio recording or being read to in class.
This activity is a brilliant way to help students develop phonological awareness.
