The Phonics Olympic pack was used for children to practice for their Phonics Olympics at school. It was used on the run up to the phonics screening. I used this for year 2 pupils that are to retake the test but it would be suitable for year 1. The certificate was given to each child who took part. With the help of some little trophies from the pound shop this created lots of enthusiasm which was the aim! Word document for preview only. Publisher document is much better.
Hi Wondered about the activities on this resource. Don't have glitter sounds race, phonics fishing, sound splatting, nor the split vowel reading relay race. Are those a separate resource?

This is the booklet. The glitter sounds race is how many given sounds you can write in a tray of glitter in 1 minute. The words are there for the split vowel reading race (real and nonsense) and there is a free PowerPoint with the words on it. Sound splatting is just flashcards on a table that you can hit with a fly swatter or your hand as the children are given each sound to splat. I have laminated fish with real and nonsense words on them with a paper clip attached. The children then use a magnetic fishing rod. These are not included unfortunately. But as it is publisher you could change the events to suit the resources you have. You get what is in the pictures. Sorry that you are disappointed by this resource.
