Used with Year 7, this lesson works towards pupils having an understanding of rhythm and metre in poetry. The lesson has students using active approaches to explore iambic tetrameter in Benjamin Zephaniah's The London Breed, and gives them the opportunity to write their own poetry using the metre examined.
