Primary lesson plan RE Religious Education Judaism Moses Passover
This is a lesson plan for Year 1, Religious Education lessons on Judaism, focusing on Moses and Passover. This may also fit within a unit on key religious figures in world religions, or ‘Special People’.

The learning objectives are:

• To know that Moses is a key figure in the Jewish faith.
• To know the story of the escape from Egypt and that this is remembered every year at Passover.
• To be able to think about some of the characteristics shown by Moses as a key figure in the Jewish faith.

To deliver these lessons you will also need:

• a source of the Passover story or a video clip
• an image of a seder plate. This can be found online or in the book ‘My Jewish Faith’ by Anne Clark, published Evans Brothers Ltd (page references given).

A simple worksheet template is included.
