A brilliant independent study task for students. Students read a scientific article and highlight key information. They then use the information as well as their own knowledge to complete a variety of comprehension questions.
This task not only adds context for learning about the importance of folding and structure to the functioning of proteins, but allows students to develop research and comprehension / literacy skills in science.
Suited for either A Level or high ability GCSE.
Can be used as a stand a lone activity, or part of the **4.0 Protein lessons **found here https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/4-0-proteins-4-lessons-with-resources-a-level-biology-12326661
