Revision session for GCSE (9-1) Computer Science for programming using pseudo code and testing in preparation for the component 2 examination.
Students are given a revision mat which includes them producing pseudo code solutions to given problems, there are 3 examples, building on complexity as the tasks progress. The revision mat also looks at the different types of testing, test plans including the different types of test data and error types (i.e. syntax vs logic errors).
Alongside the student revision mat is a teacher PowerPoint which includes the answers to the work the students will have to complete.
An extra slide is included on the PowerPoint (slide 2) which includes several examples of programming constructs presented in pseudo code i.e. user input, selection, iteration (for / while), reading / writing to a text file, this can be printed and handed as an extra resource to support all students complete the different pseudo code tasks on the revision mat.
