Pass out 3 cards per student, making sure they have both questions and answers (printed on different colors). Students must form a question with their question word, choosing their own subject and verb. They need to find someone with an answer; the answer will use the appropriate subject and verb from the question. It will not necessarily be logical, but must fit the correct answer category. “Où vas-tu?” “Je vais sous la table.” is acceptable. Can be used with ALL levels of French by varying verbs or tenses used.

SAMPLE:
Student 1 has: qui, à sept heures, un stylo.
Student 2 has: la fille, quand, où.
Student 3 has: parce que, sous le bureau, lundi.

Student 1 must ask a question with qui (only question word). He may ask Qui invites-tu? or Qui est en classe? Qui est-ce que vous regardez? or any other question he can come up with.

Student 3 would have to answer “Je ne sais pas” (or any other answer you have them use) because he does not have a person answer card.

Student 2 could answer J’invite la fille / la fille est en classe / nous regardons la fille.
