This SMART and PowerPoint includes a series of seven lessons based around the question “What matters most to Christians and to Humanists?”.

Each lesson starts with a sticky knowledge retrieval quiz and vocabulary activity.
Lessons look at codes for living for Christians and non-religious people, peace quotations from leading figures, values, Christian parables and Humanist beliefs. Activities include an action and their consequences activity, writing a code for living, ordering values by importance and difficulty to keep, videos, discussion starters, moral dilemmas, value auction and posters and poems. There are also two bible passage comprehensions based on the Good Samaritan and Jesus’ final words and an activity based on Jesus’ comparison of his followers to fruit. The unit culminates in a written paragraph answering the big question.

Lessons include videos, group/partner discussion, group tasks, individual tasks and making links to children’s own lives. All resources are included, and there is a printing requirement list for the whole unit. Please note - the SMART and PowerPoint contain the same content, but you need Notebook software to open SMART.
