Reading Comprehension Booklet KS3/KS4

A booklet containing a series of short edited extracts from a variety of modern and traditional texts.

This is aimed at weaker students or those reluctant to read larger amounts of text.

Often reading comprehension material is aimed at lower years students and often has an immature presentation. This booklet has been stripped of those elements allowing for more mature students to continue developing their reading skills without the feeling of being babied.

Each extract is supported by 3 comprehension activities which allow the students to extract information, support ideas with evidence and begin to respond to more extended comprehension questions.

Additionally, each extract provides students the opportunity to self reflect on their reading progress and a tracker for students and teachers to quickly see where students might need additional support.

Ideal as a homework resource, or as part of an entry routine to encourage students to read on a regular basis.
