This is a lesson focusing on how to develop an answer to a GCSE extract question on “Romeo and Juliet”. Students initially reflect on how characters change through the play before focusing on the figure of Lord Capulet. There is a walkthrough section on how to develop an answer followed by a sample paragraph and the chance for students to attempt their own answer. This was originally delivered to mixed ability classes and contains differentiation, with a writing frame for the extended writing.
