Romeo and Juliet - Structural development (linked to theme, character and plot)

Charts the plot of Romeo and Juliet with links at each stage to the overall structure, theme and character. There is a focus on causality - how events and characters impact upon further events and the themes of the novel. On the reverse is a grid which students can complete which encourages them to make connections between the key events and themes for themselves in order that they can see the work as an authorial construction rather than merely a story.
