This is a 45-page comprehensive guide to the award-winning book “Rowan of Rin” by Emily Rodda. I have used this book in both a small group and whole class setting.
This unit was designed for my Stage 2 classroom and it consists of chapter-by-chapter comprehension questions of both a literal and inferential nature. There are also predicting, summarising, text-to-self questions and more. Each chapter has a discussion guide for the teacher with a summary of the chapter, as well as suggested teaching notes and focal points. Creative responses are provided for every chapter.
Answer guide is given at the end of the resource.
I use this text over an approximately five week period of teaching.
