These are a set of scaffolds designed to help students to structure scientific write ups. These are designed to be glued into the margin of an exercise book or paper, so students can write next to them in their book (graph would be drawn on separate graph paper). Easiest level has sentence starters, medium has prompt questions and most challenging has key words. I keep spares of each printed on different coloured paper so they can be easily identified!
These will suit most practical and investigation style activities, but may need modifying for certain tasks.
I made these for use at KS4 to help them practice the kinds of write-up skills that are needed for the new GCSE paper but I see no reason why these couldn’t be used at KS3 too.
