A complete lesson on series circuits including simple practical activity. Based on AQA SOW but can be used for any. Includes timers to promote pace and powerpoint animations to facilitate Q/A during correction or marking of answers. Lesson covers the rules of potential difference, current, cells and resistance within series circuits. Practical activity involves students measuring the potential difference and current within 6 series circuits. Questions are included for an additional ‘stretch’ activity if time permits (answers incorporated) and the plenary exercise guides students to reflect on their progress against the LO’s.
