A comprehensive set of 4 mental maths tests (with answers) which I designed for my KS3 class. I have used them as starters for my class to get their brains going and get them focused. I've also used them as plenaries and as assessments before teaching a topic to check the prior knowledge of pupils.
Each mental maths test contains a mixture of straight-forward calculations and slightly more complex word problems. Topics covered include: fractions, decimals and percentages, conversions, multiplication, division, money and time.
