Shape - Functional Skills Maths - Entry Level 2

These resources have been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Entry Level 2 (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds and Open Awards). They include an age-appropriate 135-slide PowerPoint lesson and a 38-page on shape and space - Outcomes 20 and 21.

These resources will help students achieve the following learning outcomes:

describe the properties of common 2-D and 3-D shapes including numbers of sides, corners, edges, faces, angles, base

use appropriate positional vocabulary to describe position and direction including between, inside, outside, middle, below, on top, forwards and
backwards

PowerPoint Lesson

The editabl PowerPoint lesson provides many opportunities for the pupils to achieve the learning outcomes outlined above. The PowerPoint also contains links to videos on 2D shapes, 3D shapes and example exam questions. It is ideal for introducing the shape component of the Entry Level 2 specification and for revision purposes.

The 38 page workbook includes 13 information pages, 22 worksheets, 2 progress checks and a certificate of achievement.
