National Share a Story month is a great way to celebrate storytelling. To join in with the celebrations, we’ve put together some resources for you to deliver a compelling and fun storytelling session with your class.
Objectives: Literacy – Reading Comprehension
- To demonstrate an understanding of what has been read to them by retelling stories and narratives using their own words.
This pack contains a completed lesson plan and printable resources that cover literacy objectives for EYFS. Simply print the resources, deliver the session and watch in awe as the children delve into the magic of storytelling.
The children will focus on sharing one of their favourite stories for ‘National Share a Story’ month by drawing a picture to show what their favourite book is about and briefly retell the story using their picture as a talking point.
Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 lessons also available.
