This free resource provides examples of short scripts suitable for young learners aged 7 and up, offering a gentle introduction to the performing arts and teamwork. Drama is a powerful tool for helping young people express themselves and grow. These scripts offer ample opportunities for students to experience all that drama has to offer. All roles are gender-neutral.

Our workbooks encourage:
• Creative use of the imagination
• Positive group work
• Improved oral communication
• Character development
• Enhanced acting and performance skills
• Increased confidence and leadership

Included is a one-page Readers Theatre script. These scripts feature colourised dialogue text to assist with role recognition, improve reading fluency, enhance focus, and support students with dyslexia or other learning challenges.

Also included is a Write and Act! scene. Write and Act! is a theatre method that uses partially written scripts to spark creativity and collaboration. In this method, participants complete the second page of a two-page script, then rehearse and perform it—or use it for simple around-the-table readings—making it perfect for Readers Theatre.

This is just a small sample of our resources; our plays range from one to four pages in length. Check out our full range of wonderful and original resources.
