This engaging egg shaped box building activity is perfect for teachers or subs seeking a fun Easter or Spring art, craft, and design project that encourages students’ problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity. It could be linked to STEM. Suitable for upper primary and secondary students, it includes printable PDF instructional guides and templates.
This resource contains:
- 5 x PDFs containing easy-to-follow instructions and construction guides with differing A3 printable template versions to assemble. Creates an egg-shaped box with a lift-off lid capable of holding chocolate, candy, or other small items. The box dimensions, once constructed, are L14cm x W11cm x H7.5cm.
- Each version contains illustrations to colour and personalise.
Students can choose from a:
- Blank (ready for own design or message),
- Mindfulness or Zetangle-style egg illustration,
- Flower illustration,
- Hello Spring message with flower background illustration,
- Hipster-style bunny with Hopster message illustration.
Note: The Instruction pages will print A4 size. While the template pages are set to print on A3 to ensure the correct dimensions.
To successfully complete this activity, teachers and students will need access to:
- printer,
- computer,
- white paper and cardstock,
- colouring materials,
- cutting tools,
- rulers,
- adhesives,
- and treats or trinkets to fill the boxes.
