Codebreaker on writing numbers in standard form and performing operations on numbers in standard form. All numbers used have positive indices of 10. Find the answer to the questions to get a number, then use the code to find the answer to the joke. I used this with a year 7 student I tutor, but probably suitable for years 7, 8 and 9 and a starter activity for GCSE.
