Twice a half term we use these pre-populated Star Marking Grids to assess the students work. These are tailored for each task/success criteria in advance; cutting down marking time for staff, yay!
These work brilliantly as they are easy to understand for students, highlighting their strengths, targets and current progress grades, quick and easy for staff to use and highlights their effort rating (which sometimes goes unnoticed when considering grades).
as a practical subject, there responses to their Star Feedback will be visible in their work, therefore a simple signature in the Teacher Response row is enough of a recognition of improvement.
