Your students will explore the effects oil has had on our oceans with this simple experiment. To help aid their understand there is a YouTube video to help better understand what happens when Oil leaks into our oceans.

Your students will work in pairs/small groups and have class discussions and work to find of a solution.
The materials your students will need
- Tray (has to be a couple of inches deep)
- Water
- Oil
- Sponge
- Straw
- Cotton Balls
- Feathers
- Pen and pencil for observations
